Continuing my series of articles on designing a database model for an online discussion forum, I will add some more advanced features to my initial concept. Firstly, I will enhance the user details which are stored in our model, adding not only some new personal data but also simple user’s roles and statuses. Then, I will deal with the statuses of threads and posts.
An online discussion forum is a site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. Discussion forums allow conversations to take place when people are not on-line, and messages may be temporarily archived.
